To do something, you have a couple of straight ways and several other complicated.
Here’s how Fring presents the app for Android users:
The QR code invokes the market tag (i.e.)
market://search?q=(app or package name)
in order to search for the App in the Android market place (iTunes equivalent).
Of course you need a barcode scanner app in your phone. In a few words, you are adding complexity to the task of passing a url to your mobile browser (of course I undertsand it is cool to show others you are taking the app this way).
Now my question: is there a market for ideas to make the way of downloading application more appealing, personal and somehow eccentric?
